Falkenberg is a coastal town, where the inhabitants have been connected with fishing from time immemorial, and the river Ätran which flows through the town has long been synonymous with salmon fishing. At Falkenberg Salmon Smoke-house we know how fish should taste and how it should be prepared and preserved by smoking and dry curing. Falkenberg Salmon Smoke-house aims to pass on tradition and know-how. In order to achieve a good smoky taste, we carefully select alder firewood to use when we smoke our products.
Alder firewood is freshly chipped from logs, so as to extract as much as possible of the aromas and tastes which are naturally present in the wood. Since the start in 1980, Falkenberg Salmon Smoke-house has followed the same principles:
